Batlle posts a heartfelt departure message
Ona Batlle has expressed her gratitude to Manchester United, after her departure from our women's first team was confirmed.
The Spain international full-back, who will join FC Barcelona when her contract expires at the end of June, was a key member of Marc Skinner's side during a thrilling 2022/23 campaign.
After her departure was announced on Monday morning, Batlle was quick to post a heartfelt message on Instagram.

"I would like to say thank you for the opportunity to have been part of the history of this great club, of this great family," began Ona.
"What this badge represents goes beyond. The unity between the team and the fans, between people who feel the same colours and experience football in a different way.
"We have grown hand in hand. We have lived moments that will forever remain in our memories, which are already part of our history, the history of Man United Women.
"Thank [you] beyond words for welcoming me since the first moment, each and every person who has been part of these years, I cannot be more grateful. I feel like I'm leaving a part of myself behind; I have been very happy here, you have made me feel at home.
"I will always be proud to say that I was a Red Devil. Once red, always red."

Ella Toone commented on Ona's post with the words "The best", while her fellow United team-mates Maria Thorisdottir, Aissatou Tounkara and Katie Zelem all replied with heart emojis.
"Good luck Ona," said Kirsty Hanson, who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa.
