UEFA Women's Euro 2022: One year to go!

Today marks one year to go until UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 kicks off at Old Trafford, in what promises to be a record-breaking edition of the European tournament next summer.

As hosts, the Lionesses qualify automatically and will get their campaign under way at Old Trafford on 6 July 2022.  

The Theatre of Dreams is one of 10 grounds across the country that will stage matches in the competition next summer, offering the host nation the opportunity to break the attendance record for a UEFA Women’s Euro game - currently set at 41,301 for the 2013 final - in the tournament's opening fixture.

It is hoped Old Trafford can set a new record-breaking attendance figure for the opening game on 6 July, 2022.

Now in its 13th edition, next summer's tournament is poised to be the biggest women’s Euro to date, with over 700,000 tickets available to fans and extensive coverage of every game of the tournament available on free-to-air television, radio and online. Fans will be able to see some of the world’s best players in action on home soil with the final to be staged at the iconic Wembley Stadium.

Ticket prices range from £5 to £50. A family of four can attend for £30, or £45 for England games, a semi-final or the final.

13 July - Pre-sale
Anyone who creates a UEFA ticketing account before will get priority access to tickets.

28 October - Ticket applications open
The finals draw will take place live on BBC. The match schedule will be published following the draw and ticket applications will be open for the public, via ballot.

Mid-February - General public ticket sales
Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public to buy on a first come, first served basis.
