Training update from Carrington

Manchester United often allow younger players to step up to the first-team training sessions and several members of the Under-23 and Under-18 squads were pictured during our first training session of the week at Carrington.

With so many senior players away on international duty, the chance to further the education of some of our teenage prospects was not going to be passed up with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer casting a watchful eye over proceedings.

Working with experienced campaigners including Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic will have been a wonderful opportunity for those with aspirations to enjoy successful senior careers.

Alvaro Fernandez, Bjorn Hardley, Dillon Hoogewerf, Joe Hugill, Marc Jurado, Charlie McNeill, Charlie Savage and Charlie Wellens were the youngsters involved.

Of course, those young Reds need look no further for inspiration than Mason Greenwood, a teenager himself until very recently.

The prolific forward was also part of the proceedings at Carrington, as were regular members of the first-team squad including Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Alex Telles, Phil Jones, Donny van de Beek and Marcus Rashford.
