Opposition team news: No Wolves worries

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has reported no fresh injury concerns at his press conference to preview Saturday's Premier League clash at Manchester United.

The visitors ensured their safety with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa last time out, which is some achievement considering the predicament they were in when Lopetegui took charge towards the end of last year. Indeed, they were bottom of the table at Christmas.

The only absentees for the Black Country outfit are Sasa Kalajdzic, Boubacar Traore and Chiquinho, even though the latter has returned to training, following a serious knee problem.

However, the manager has hinted he could rotate his team a little in the final three fixtures.

"Fortunately, we don’t have new injuries," said Lopetegui. "We are going to be ready with all the players and, after, it’s going to be about our choices. We have ambition and we are going to try to see more players and all of them have to be ready.”

Lopetegui has called on his team to match the effort shown in the West Midlands derby last weekend, despite being safe, as he knows the challenge the Reds will provide.

"I think that they are very good team," he admitted. "A top team with top players, a good coach, with a very clear idea [of] the way to play. They are fighting in a very good position to be in the next Champions League.

"In the Premier League, this is a very difficult achievement, that’s why they are a very top team. Above all, they play at Old Trafford. We are aware the kind of match we are going to have. We have to be ready to compete with them.

"We have closed our achievement but we have ambition to go there to play well and compete with them. If not, you’ve lost. If you’re not ready to compete, they’re going to roll over you.”

Wolves have had some concern over the fitness of full-back Nelson Semedo but the Portugal international did play against Villa and is available again.

The Black Country side are 13th in the table, level on points with Crystal Palace, and two behind Chelsea.

They finish the campaign with a home game against Everton and a trip on the last day to Arsenal.
