How Bayern Munich prepared for their Old Trafford visit
Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League fate will be defined by Tuesday evening’s visit of Bayern Munich.
The Reds must beat the Germans and need Copenhagen and Galatasaray to draw if we are to progress in the competition.
While we look to put the disappointment of Saturday’s defeat to Bournemouth behind us, Bayern are also hoping to bounce back from an equally heavy loss at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were on the wrong end of a 5-1 scoreline, which means they remain second in the Bundesliga table.

The reigning German champions found themselves trailing 3-1 at half-time, with Omar Marmoush opening the scoring just 12 minutes in.
Eric Ebimbe added a second on the half-hour mark, with Hugo Larsson scoring another just minutes later.
Joshua Kimmich pulled one back just before the break, but Frankfurt restored their three-goal lead when Ebimbe added his second of the afternoon soon after the restart.
Ansgar Knauff sealed the win on the hour mark, against a Bayern side which featured regulars like Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Leroy Sane and Harry Kane.
Though such a scoreline may not suggest it, Eintracht's win put an end to a run of four straight defeats in all competitions.
Tuchel will no doubt be looking for a significant response when his side come to Old Trafford on Tuesday, for a 20:00 GMT kick-off, having already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The game will be shown live on TNT Sports, but you can listen to live radio commentary on ManUtd.com and in the United App, with all pre and post-match coverage available there.
