26 Years
After a hiatus of nearly three decades, Manchester United claim the English top-flight title. Manager Alex Ferguson celebrates with the man who previously lifted the championship – Sir Matt Busby.

Any team is only as good as its foundation – and Denis Irwin was a bedrock that allowed this group to thrive. With 40 league appearances and five crucial goals in 92/93, the Irishman was well on his way to becoming one of United’s finest ever full-backs.

All Pals
A scorer on the night the trophy was lifted, Gary Pallister, is all smiles in the dressing room alongside Ryan Giggs, Paul Ince and a winner of the last league title, club legend Sir Bobby Charlton.

United's stars look on at the scale of their achievement, including attacking talisman Mark Hughes. Sparky’s wonder strikes across the season were crucial to several big wins and cemented his place as a club legend.

Captain Marvel, Bryan Robson, gets his hands on a championship trophy at long last – alongside a man who led United so often that season, the rock at the heart of defence, Steve Bruce.

Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes and Lee Sharpe share a lighter moment in the dressing room as the party begins at Old Trafford.

Safe Hands
Peter Schmeichel lets the champagne flow. United fans will attest that the Premier League trophy was in safe hands.
