PAOK become 30th one-time opponents

Thursday 07 November 2024 19:45

PAOK have tonight become the 30th one-time opponents for Manchester United.

The Reds play the Greek champions for the first time in our history, the same as was the case for FC Twente, our previous Europa League visitors to Old Trafford.

Research by United Review, the official matchday programme, throws up some illustrious, and not so illustrious, names home and abroad who fall into this category - with some from our very early days.

Obviously, it's an ever-evolving list as some clubs can remove themselves from it, if they face United for a second time.

The fact there are no longer two legs in the group stages of European competition means Bodo/Glimt, Viktoria Plzen and FCSB will all be added to this group in the near future.

Peterborough United are the highest-ranked English club, at his present time, to feature, while it's worth pointing out we did face Wimbledon on 32 occasions, before tackling MK Dons, following the relocation to Milton Keynes.
