Evra: Why Daniel James has what it takes
Reds legend Patrice Evra has been impressed by Manchester United new boy Daniel James's introduction to life in the Premier League.
The summer signing from Swansea City has already scored three times for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men in his first four appearances and was voted our Player of the Month for August.
Evra, who is at the Aon Training Complex as he bids to obtain his coaching badges, handed the 21-year-old his trophy and felt the youngster was a deserving winner.
"I think you deserve it and, to be honest, like I was saying before, I'm really, really happy to give you that trophy because the passion, the love," said the Frenchman.
"I can see it. It's the best day in your life when you're playing for this club and we need those players.
"I remember your celebration [against Chelsea] — you gave me goosebumps! I was watching on TV and it was not about your goal, but more about your celebration because it was like 'the club is on the right way' because we need players like you.
"I think you understand everything, and I'm convinced, 100 per cent, that you're going to have an amazing career because you have the right attitude, and that's important."
James, who was also on target in Wales' friendly win over Belarus during the international break, will hope to emulate Solskjaer by scoring in his first three Premier League games for United at Old Trafford, when Leicester City provide the opposition on Saturday.
The 15:00 BST kick-off presents the wide man with another opportunity to show how well he has settled into life in Manchester.
