Dorgu: We're growing into Ruben's ideas
Patrick Dorgu believes our pre-season tour of the US, presented by Snapdragon, is helping Manchester United's players better learn what Ruben Amorim expects.
Dorgu, who was one of the Reds' standout stars against Bournemouth in our 4-1 win on Thursday, spoke glowing of the boss after his superb display.
Scoring United's second goal at Soldier Field, the Denmark international was a constant threat down the left flank, tormenting Andoni Iraola's side.
With a huge 2025/26 campaign to come, Patrick is happy to be able aid his team-mates in whatever way possible, as countdown to kick-off in the Premier League closes in.
Dorgu: Pre-season is helping us
After scoring and assisting in Chicago, Patrick says you're seeing the result of United's work on the training pitch...
"It felt good," began the former Lecce man when speaking to MUTV in Chicago.
"It was good to help the team out there and it was good to get the win, we just keep improving and look forward to the season.
"It was good to see the fans were still there even thought the weather conditions were not so good. It was good that the team gave a good performance for the fans."
Combining with Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes throughout his cameo, Dorgu's energy came at vital intervals for Amorim's side, who punished Bournemouth throughout the game.
Having only arrived at Old Trafford in January, the 20-year-old is beginning to learn just how the boss wants him to play in his favoured wing-back role.
"I feel like the pre-season is helping everyone to understand Ruben's ideas even more," added Dorgu.
"The more training we have, the more we will grow into his ideas and I feel like it is being seen a little bit on the pitch already. We just keep improving."
Dorgu, as well as fellow Dane Rasmus Hojlund, were on the scoresheet in the first-half, something which the defender hopes to see more of this season.

"Every game is a chance to improve and be ready for Arsenal. Every game is important and we will just take it game by game."
