Manchester United Women forward Rachel Williams has joined Leicester City on a permanent deal.

The 38-year-old brings to an end her four-year association with the club, after joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2022.

In total, Williams made 90 appearances for the Reds, scoring 21 goals.

She helped us claim Women's FA Cup glory in 2024, as we beat her former club Spurs 4-0, with Rach scoring our third goal at Wembley Stadium.

ALL THE GOALS | Watch this to understand why Rachel Williams is so popular amongst United Women supporters...

Rach has become part of the furniture at Carrington, helping to bring together members of the squad over recent seasons.

The ex-Birmingham striker scored pivotal goals for the Reds, including her 88th-minute winner against Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final in April 2023.

There was also another injury-time winner at Villa Park, back in October 2023, netting a header that sealed a 2-1 win on the opening day of the 2023/24 WSL campaign.

She bagged a brace in our huge 7-0 win over West Brom last season in the FA Cup and the veteran forward has played a huge part in our cup runs over the past three years, with the Reds reaching a trio of finals.

Rachel resigns for the Foxes some 16 years after leaving the side she initially began her career with.

Born in Leicestershire, Williams first joined the club as a twelve-year old, before enjoying spells at Chelsea, Doncaster Rovers and Birmingham City, among others.

Everyone at United wishes Rach all the best in her next chapter.
