Saturday 25 December 2021 07:00

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has delivered a special Christmas message to the club’s supporters all around the world.

The 63-year-old German has been busy preparing the squad for Monday’s Premier League match against Newcastle United, but he has given the players time off today to be with their loved ones.

Rangnick will reassemble the group at Carrington on Boxing Day to continue training and, in our exclusive pre-game interview, our new boss spoke with hope about the new year to come.

“I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas together with their families,” explained Ralf. “Let’s hope and make sure we can still play in front of our supporters in the future.

“This also means that the fans themselves stay in good health and stay safe – that would be my wish to everybody and hopefully we can see each other at the upcoming home games or away games.

“I’m very much looking forward to playing in front of 75,000 at Old Trafford again. And I send all my best wishes for the new year to everybody as well.”
