It is fair to say Ralf Rangnick has impressed everybody with his opening press conferences as Manchester United interim manager and they are becoming unmissable events for fans.

The German tactician was official unveiled last Friday and he spoke in tremendous detail about his vision for the team, his renowned style of play and what he hopes to achieve in the next six months. That introductory media briefing lasted for 30 minutes and is still available to watch on demand

After the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, Rangnick was back in front of reporters to preview our Champions League match against Young Boys and the updates kept on coming, featuring his confirmation of two new staff members and an insight into who would captain the Reds in Europe.

Rangnick’s next press conference will take place on Friday afternoon in advance of Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

You can watch a live stream of Ralf’s latest media briefing from 12:30 GMT on Friday via the United App, ManUtd.com and MUTV.

The video of the press conference will be published in full shortly afterwards.

NEWS FROM NORWICH

Rangnick is currently preparing the United squad for Saturday’s match at Carrow Road, where kick-off is scheduled for 17:30 GMT and fans in the UK can watch it live on Sky Sports.

The Canaries' new boss Dean Smith has been speaking ahead of the match and admits he is full of respect for Ralf's career so far.

“When a new manager comes in, he will slowly start putting his own structure on the team and how they're going to play,” Smith told Sky. “We've seen that already - I thought they were very good against Crystal Palace and against Young Boys on Wednesday.

“But the way his teams have played, they've got a clear identity, so we've certainly got an idea of what to expect, but they've got top-class players and top-class players adapt very quickly. I don't think it will take too long for Ralf to get his identity within that team and we'll be very respectful of how they're going to play on Saturday, not just with the quality of the players, but the coaching.

“Any football coach that's wanting to learn will know about Ralf Rangnick and the Red Bull model that he's helped to create there. We've all had a good idea of his coaching methods and what he does, there's certainly plenty of stuff out there that you can go and watch, and I've certainly been one of them [who has watched].

“I've been really impressed with what he's done with teams, but also developing players as well. It's really interesting to hear him talk about developing them mentally as well as physically, because that's sometimes something that gets lost.

“As coaches, that's something we're all doing all the time and it's a really important part of it. I'm looking forward to coming up against him, it will certainly be a great test.”
