“It was a great moment,” said Rapha, when asked about his move to M16.

“It's a huge club with some of the best fans in the world and the history of the club is something special.

“Everything [about the club], the spirit, the philosophy, the passion around the club, it is something very special and different.”

Rapha has impressed throughout his 30 appearances under Ten Hag this season and contributed to our defence keeping 15 clean sheets in the Premier League.

Speaking further on the honour he feels whilst representing the Reds, the Frenchman explains how he feels when wearing our current home shirt.

“I like this one because it's a bit old school! I like the collar,” replied Rapha, when quizzed which of the United shirts he has worn was his favourite.

“When I wear it, I feel I have to give 100 per cent of myself and everything on the pitch. I can't give up and when I wear the shirt I feel that mentality.”
