Manchester United have been well represented at the 2020 North-West Football Awards, with winners in four different categories.

Marcus Rashford continues to receive recognition from far and wide for his efforts on and off the pitch, as he landed the region's 'Impact Award' for his fabulous work throughout the year.

Over the weekend, the England international helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side beat Everton, before learning he had been successful in securing over £400million in government support for vulnerable children with a winter grant scheme run by councils.

The move was confirmed in a phone call from Prime Minister Boris Johnson, after tireless campaigning by our no.10. "I very much welcome the steps that have been taken to combat child food poverty in the UK," commented Marcus.

Manchester United Foundation was also victorious, in the 'Community Initiative of the Season' category, for its response in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

John Shiels, chief executive of Manchester United Foundation, said: “I’m delighted that the work of our staff has been recognised through this award. Alongside the club they have worked tirelessly – driving vans, delivering PPE, donating food parcels, looking after the vulnerable and children of key workers, collating activity packs, devising online educational worksheets…all those who took part in our COVID-19 response did so with boundless energy and compassion.”

Congratulations to all of our winners!
