Hojlund: I am slowly improving

Rasmus Hojlund is satisfied with the way he has started his Manchester United career and the Dane is confident that the goals will start to flow for him soon.

Hojlund has three strikes to his name already in the Champions League, but, despite impressing in each of his six top-flight appearances so far, he is still awaiting a first league goal.

Our no.11, who is already a firm favourite with the fans, knows that there is still plenty of room for improvement and that he is not the completed product as a forward just yet.

“I know my worth. I know I have to perform every day because I play for Manchester United,” Hojlund told reporters at Old Trafford.

“In the end, I am only 20 years old and I am not the finished article yet. I still have a lot to improve and I am getting there slowly.

“I reckon I have had a fine start to the season and now we have to keep building and the goals will come in the Premier League.”

The goals may not yet to be freely flowing but Hojlund values his growing relationship with fellow attacker Marcus Rashford.

“Yeah, you can see we are trying to find each other,” Rasmus added.

“In the Sheffield [United] game, he nearly got an assist to me, and I think he has already assisted me twice in the Champions League.

“We are definitely trying to find each other on the pitch and I also tried to find him with a deep pass today, so we have a good connection.”

Now Hojlund can look forward to his first Manchester derby and he’ll hope to emulate a famous moment from the fixture’s past.

“The bicycle kick from Wayne Rooney, of course!” Hojlund, a United fan, replied when asked about his favourite Reds goal against City.

“Everybody remembers that, don’t they?”
