Rasmus Hojlund has revealed a meeting for the forwards with Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy is helping the team gel in attack.

The Denmark international is away with his country after making his comeback in Sunday's fabulous 4-3 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford.

During a chat with the local media, Rasmus was asked about his rich goalscoring form since opening his Premier League account against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, and what may have changed to trigger the productive run.

Our no.11 explained how the attacking trident are striving to work together to ensure we finish off more chances, with the two wider forwards helping support the centre-forward.

"You could say that we have found each other better," he told BT. "We have had some forwards meetings with Benni McCarthy, where we talked about things. It wasn't just me and two others, it was everyone from the front line who attended the meeting.

"We talked about playing each other [in] well and helping each other, because that's the way we will get the best results.

"We saw some video clips, and then there was reference to the fact that, here and there, some things should be done better," he added. "We could see that and then we have carried it out on the field, in training and matches."

Hojlund will be out to add to his international tally of seven goals in 10 games, in the friendlies with Switzerland and Faroe Islands.

"I try to train well and prepare every single day," he said.

"I train on both my strengths and weakness. I have got better and better. I have had a good month [or so] but it has been the result of good work over a long period.

"It clicks a little better than at the start of the Premier League season."
