Profiting from Marcus Rashford's burst into the box, Rasmus beat Pedro Porro with a neat turn before smashing home past Tottenham keeper Guglielmo Vicario, in a game that eventually finished 2-2.

Having now scored eight goals so far this season, the Dane is beginning to find his feet in M16 and has been rewarded with his second individual award at the club.

Scooping 47 per cent of the vote, Hojlund fought off competition, primarily from Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo to claim top spot.

Dalot's opener against Wigan Athletic in the Emirates FA Cup third-round tie came second, as he curled past Sam Tickle to hand United an early lead at the DW Stadium.

Teenager Mainoo's first senior goal for the club came third in the polling.

The 18-year-old tucked home at Rodney Parade in our 4-2 fourth-round success and continues to go from strength to strength this season.

But it is Rasmus who will receive the plaudits, and rightly so, following on from winning December's award for his goal against Aston Villa.
