Reds unite at Premier League Mornings Live
Manchester United fans were out in force last month, at the two-day Premier League Mornings Live event in Chicago.
Nestled amongst the grandeur of towering skyscrapers, over 15,000 supporters adorned with club colours, flags and scarves gathered at Lincoln Park to watch live screenings of all top-flight fixtures across 21 and 22 September.
Our fans arrived as early as 1:30am on Saturday to ensure their entry with United versus Palace dominating all screens at 11.30 CDT to close the day. And fans braved downpours on Sunday to round off a full weekend of football.
Brown visits Chicago Cubs
ArticleUnited legend Wes Brown was one of the familiar Premier League faces at Wrigley Field on Saturday.
United legend Wes Brown joined Premier League icons Patrick Vierra, Gary Cahill, as well as ex-Reds Jonathan Specter and Danny Simpson, to engage with fans across the weekend – and even met the mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson!
In addition to United merchandise, giveaways and a competition to win a match-worn Martinez shirt, fans also had the opportunity to attend an exclusive Q&A and meet-and-greet with Wes Brown, hosted at our official Chicago supporters’ club local venue - one of 34 official supporters’ clubs in the US alone, and part of our growing family of 316 clubs across the world!
Chicago is the fourth US city United visited over the summer, following an action-packed pre-season tour deepening engagement and creating lifelong memories with our United fanbase across Los Angeles, San Diego and South Carolina.
Rick McGagh, director of fan engagement, said: “The passion of our fans around the world never ceases to amaze me.
