Devine clinches move to Scotland
Manchester United defender Reece Devine has joined St Johnstone on loan for the 2021/22 season, subject to international clearance.
The 19-year-old embarks on his first temporary move away from the club, having featured 29 times for United’s Under-23s over the last two seasons.
The full-back will benefit from first-team experience in the Scottish Premiership under manager Callum Davidson.
Devine will be hoping to impress and receive regular game-time with the Saints, who won both the Scottish Cup and League Cup last season.
This is the first Academy loan of the summer transfer window with individual player development set to, once again, be prioritised across the Professional Development Phase.
While allowing the loanees the chance to experience senior football, the process also enables the next group of younger players to test themselves at a higher age group.
Everybody at United would like to wish Reece the best of luck this term as we follow his progress at McDiarmid Park.
