Amad claims Goal of the Month award for March
Amad has been confirmed as the winner of the club's Goal of the Month prize for March 2024, following his all-time classic in the epic FA Cup win over Liverpool.
Presented with the ball by Alejandro Garnacho, in the 121st minute of an exhaustingly dramatic match that was tied at three goals apiece, Amad gave a small feint to deceive Conor Bradley before squeezing a deliciously accurate finish past opposition goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
The goal kickstarted scenes of complete pandemonium in the Stretford End, and indeed all over Old Trafford (bar the sections inhibited by 9,000 silent Merseysiders, of course).
Impressively, Amad managed to fend off one of the best goals of Marcus Rashford's career – a clattering, long-range effort in the Manchester derby – to win our fan poll, in which he claimed 49 per cent of the vote.

Rashford took second place with a strong 38 per cent, following his sixth career goal against Manchester City, which is up for the Premier League's Goal of the Month award.
In third was Antony's right-footed equaliser against Liverpool – a valuable 87th-minute intervention which set up the madcap extra-time period in which Rashford and Amad turned the cup tie in United's favour.
Amad's award win means both of his two senior United goals have now claimed our Goal of the Month accolade. His maiden effort for the club – a clever, improvisatory header against AC Milan – scooped the same prize three years ago, back in March 2021.
Amad will be striving to keep his rare record going when the Reds take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening (20:15 BST).
The Ivorian was suspended for our last match, away to Brentford, due to the red card he received after taking his shirt off during the celebrations that followed his memorable goal against Liverpool.
Let's hope the 21-year-old can add to his list of Goal of the Month winners if he makes it onto the pitch in west London. Failing that, how about another magic moment against Jurgen Klopp's men, who return to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday?
