Revealed: Our star man against Chelsea

It was a mixed evening for Manchester United in the capital, but one that ultimately ended on a high with a dramatic last-gasp equaliser from Casemiro.

We arguably deserved to take all three points based on our performance throughout the 90 minutes, but a late penalty for the hosts – converted by Jorginho – made defeat a very real possibility.

Thankfully the Brazilian's header salvaged a much-merited point, and instead we can focus on the positive aspects of the Reds' performance.

But which players contested our fan-decided Man of the Match award? There were a few very worthwhile contenders, but let's find out who took the prize...

Who was United's Man of the Match at Stamford Bridge?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, our goalscorer was the clear winner, with a humongous 80 per cent of your vote.

It's the former Real Madrid man's second Man of the Match award since joining the Reds in the summer, following his excellent performance against Newcastle last weekend. His injury-time header was also his first goal for the club, too.

His passionate celebrations in front of the away end will only cement the feeling that he is integrating very smoothly into United life.

It's been clear our no.18 has been growing in influence, but this was arguably his first "wow" moment.
The only other player to grab a significant amount of our votes was the ever popular Lisandro Martinez.

The Argentinian crunched through a series of committed tackles, and once more made mincemeat of the idea that his height prevents him from winning aerial balls.

It surprised absolutely no one that Licha was front and centre in the celebrations that greeted Casemiro's equaliser, either.

The Reds pick up a hard-fought point after a dramatic finish at Stamford Bridge.

Despite a strong team performance for much of the game, the next-best performers in our poll were Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes, but both grabbed just two per cent of the vote share.

The Reds will move quickly on, but our momentum is clear. Since losing our first two Premier League games of the season, we've lost just one of our last nine, and during that period have played all of the current top six.

Congratulations to Casemiro on the award – we love a good last-minute leveller!
