Revealed: United's most popular shirt names in 2023/24
Yesterday, we confirmed that the new Manchester United adidas home kit will be released on Monday 1 July – signalling another exciting moment in the build-up to 2024/25.
Last week, the Premier League announced its programme of fixtures, and we'll soon know what the Reds will look like as they run out for that first floodlit fixture against Fulham on Friday 16 August.
Our new kit will be available to buy via adidas, United Direct and the Old Trafford Megastore, and we can’t wait to see you wearing the colours with pride all over the world.
But some of you will, quite understandably, be still mulling over what name to get on the back. With that in mind, we thought we might let you in on a little secret: the most popular shirt names of 2023/24, according to worldwide sales data from United Direct.

OUR BEST-SELLING SHIRTS OF 2023/24
6TH: KOBBIE MAINOO
At the start of the season, you'd have been given good odds on an Academy teenager with just three-first team appearances to his name becoming a key player and scoring the winner in an FA Cup final victory over Manchester City. But, deliciously, that's what Kobbie Mainoo delivered in 2023/24. And, thanks to those contributions, he's sneaked into our top six.
5TH: LISANDRO MARTINEZ
It was a deeply frustrating season for the man lovingly known as 'The Butcher', but despite just 14 appearances in 2023/24, our Argentinian defender remains a solid fan favourite.

4TH: CASEMIRO
Our serial Brazilian winner remains one of the biggest midfield names in football, and an enduringly popular choice for shirt-hungry supporters.
3RD: BRUNO FERNANDES
Bruno Fernandes finished the season in outstanding form, and was named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the third time in his United career. He's also the third-most popular name for fans to wear on the back of their United tops.

2ND: ALEJANDRO GARNACHO
Like Kobbie, Alejandro broke new ground this year, making 50 first-team appearances and opening the scoring in that memorable FA Cup final success. He's in at two in our shirt-names chart.
1ST: MARCUS RASHFORD
It was challenging season for the homegrown hero, but Marcus continues to be hugely popular with supporters. In the season that he surpassed 400 first-team appearances, at the age of just 26, he was also our bestselling men's team shirt name.
United's 2023/24 home kit will be released around the world next Monday, 1 July.
