Reds pair meet Malaysian Prime Minister
Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received a special visit from Ruben Amorim and Omar Berrada on Tuesday.
Anwar is a fan of the Reds and met our head coach and chief executive officer during a rare break from political duties, with the ASEAN summit currently taking place in the city.
The chat took place for around 20 minutes, with footballing matters discussed, including the Maybank Challenge Cup clash being staged at 13:45 BST on Wednesday.
Anwar received a United jacket, which he quickly put on to show his support for the club.
ASEAN All-Stars head coach Kim Sang-sik and skipper Sergio Aguero, who shares his name with Manchester City's legendary striker, also presented a signed shirt to the Malaysian leader.
Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh, FIFA council member Tan Sri Hamidin Mohd Amin and ASEAN Football Federation president Major General Khiev Samet were also among those who attended.
Amorim spoke at his press conference about the kind and warm welcome received by the squad in Kuala Lumpur, since touching down in the region.
