Amorim makes changes for Gunners clash

Sunday 09 March 2025 15:15

Ruben Amorim has named his Manchester United side for the 16:30 GMT kick-off against Arsenal.

The fixture is sandwiched between the Reds' crucial Europa League round-of-16 ties against Real Sociedad and the head coach has made two changes for the Old Trafford clash.

The Gunners are still trying to apply some kind of pressure on runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool, who went 16 points clear with Saturday's 3-1 win over Southampton.

Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen come into the starting XI, following the 1-1 draw in San Sebastian on Thursday.

It is Lindelof's first Premier League start since the game against Brentford in March last year. The Sweden international has come off the bench six times in the division this term, the longest period being the full half he played in helping to keep a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw at Aston Villa in October..

Diogo Dalot makes his 200th appearance for the club, probably on the left, with Noussair Mazraoui moving out of central defence  to the right-sided slot.

Rasmus Hojlund is on the bench but Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu serves the second of his three-game domestic ban, for the red card against Ipswich Town.

Youngsters Harry Amass, Jack Fletcher, Jack Moorhouse and Chido Obi are among the substitutes.
