Ruben's praise for Ayden

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim singled out young defender Ayden Heaven for his part in our 4-1 win at Wolves.

The 19-year-old started from the off in the Midlands alongside Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui in our regular back-three set-up.

After excelling before being eventually replaced by Leny Yoro on 69 minutes, the boss spoke about Ayden's display at Molineux in his post-match press conference.

PRESS CONFERENCE | Ruben was asked about the front three, the margin of victory, our AFCON players and more...

"I'm really proud of everyone today," began the boss after our latest away win.

"They did a very good job. I think Ayden [Heaven] has a great future. He's really hard to beat. He adapts really well in the centre.

"We have Matta [Matthijs de Ligt] and Harry [Maguire] with problems. Of course, he needs more rhythm to play 90 minutes.

"Sometimes he plays man v man in that position and I think he did really well. I really enjoyed to see him with the ball and that was a very good part in this game."

The former Arsenal man has had to wait patiently for his opportunities this season, even keeping fresh with displays for our Under-21s.

But with another performance under his belt, Heaven was directly asked about waiting for his first-team chance by MUTV in Wolverhampton, after our latest success.

INTERVIEW | Ayden Heaven expresses his feelings on the Reds' display at Wolves and his own development…

"I’ve had to be really patient," he began when speaking to Zarah Connolly.

"I feel like the manager is trusting me more now. I feel like whenever I’m playing, I’m getting better each time. I just want to develop and show what I can do.

"I feel great, we all feel great. It’s good to get another win and we’re just going to take this confidence into the next coming games."
