Amorim: What I like most about Sesko

Ruben Amorim knows Benjamin Sesko will be relieved to be off the mark for Manchester United but feels another aspect of his play has been most impressive.

The summer import from RB Leipzig scored our goal at Brentford and, although it counted for little in the end during a 3-1 defeat, it was one big positive to take from last weekend's game.

Although it was his seventh appearance in total, he has been introduced carefully since the summer transfer.

It was only his fourth league start and, in one of those, he was withdrawn at half-time due to Casemiro's red card against Chelsea.

"The most important thing is to win games," the boss told MUTV in his exclusive club media interview, ahead of the Sunderland game.

"That will give confidence for everybody in the team.

"Of course, he was anxious for his first goal. The thing I like most in Ben is, even when things are hard for him with the ball, he is working hard in every minute of the game.

"That is the most important thing in the moment."

Amorim also stressed how important it is to be focused for the entire 90 minutes, plus stoppage time, against the Black Cats, in a bid to ensure a positive frame of mind heading into another international break.

"It's really important [to start well]," he said. "But what is more important is to understand the game has 90 minutes, it has different moments. That is the thing we need to learn.

"Sometimes, we start really well. Sometimes, we have a problem that we had at Brentford, every time we suffer a goal, we lose a little bit our organisation. So, in the end, of course it's really important to start well but it's important to play the game 90 minutes and we can create situations. So we just need to give time to the team to win games.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW | Ruben talks about lifting the mood ahead of Sunderland's visit...

"It's completely different," he said in terms of the mood going into the break, regarding whether we can get the three points on Saturday.

"It's a massive difference to go to the stop with a positive result and we have to win it. So, again, we are in the beginning of the season, we could do better in the last games, but, we prove already when we are focused, we can win any game.

"It's really important to win this one to enjoy the break."
