Safia Middleton-Patel joins Watford on loan
Manchester United can confirm that goalkeeper Safia Middleton-Patel will spend the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Women’s Championship side Watford.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper has been with United since the age of 15, signing her first professional contract in January 2023 - becoming the 10th Academy graduate to do so since our women’s first team reformed in 2018.
"This loan will give Safia the playing time she needs to develop her professional game," said Marc Skinner.
"Both Ian Willcock and I will be keeping a close eye on Safia for the rest of the season and look forward to watching her continued growth."
Everyone at the club would like to wish Safia a successful loan spell with Watford.
