Sancho: Important thing is the three points
Jadon Sancho believes the future is bright for both himself and Manchester United after scoring in our 2-0 Europa League win against Sheriff Tiraspol.
The England winger bagged the opener with his left foot after a silky first touch, and nearly scored a second which was cleared off the line.
"Starting the campaign with a defeat was an upsetting result, so we knew that today was a must-win,” Jadon told MUTV.
“I am very delighted [with the goal]. Again, the most important thing was the three points and I will have to keep working hard for the team.”

Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the advantage for the Reds after converting a penalty in front of the traveling supporters and, when asked about his fellow goalscorer, Sancho had nothing but praise for the Portuguese, and believes he can add more to his legendary career goal tally.
“When Cristiano scores, when his confidence is up, he can score one, two, three, four,” acknowledged Sancho. “So, we are happy for him.”
Sancho was left out of Gareth Southgate’s 28-man England squad earlier today, alongside injured team-mate Marcus Rashford. But the playmaker has another key goal: to keep proving his quality and willingness to work hard for United in the coming fixture against Manchester City.
“That [the World Cup] is one of the targets, but it is unfortunate that I didn’t get the call-up. But I have to keep focusing on myself and keep working hard, week in and week out. So that is what I am going to do.”
