Reguilon: United fans are special
Sergio Reguilon has applauded the Manchester United faithful ahead of Tuesday's Carabao Cup clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
United return to the Theatre of Dreams for the 20:00 BST kick-off and are looking to defend the trophy we won back in February, our first silverware since 2017.
Reguilon's interview will feature in our matchday programme, United Review, which you can purchase at the stadium or online.
In it, the Spaniard praised the backing of our supporters, having made his home debut at Old Trafford against Brighton & Hove Albion last week.
"I played there [at Old Trafford] for the away side once during Covid and so, unfortunately, there were no fans but, the next time, the stadium was full and it was truly amazing, " he said.
"It's a historic stadium and really special.
"There's so much history. As we say in Spain, they are gentlemen. They have been through it all [and] it's amazing to see this in football."
Sergio also gives an insight into his relationship with United boss Erik ten Hag.
"He wanted me to come and I wanted to come here too," he added. "It was all very easy.
"Now I am here and we have been speaking in training about what he wants from his left-back. I think we share the same philosophy. He likes hard workers and I love working hard, I think we're on exactly the same page."
