Manchester United forward Shola Shoretire has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

The 18-year-old will get his first taste of regular senior football away from United after agreeing the move to the north-west club, who are embarking on a promotion push in League One.

Ian Evatt's side are currently fifth in the division and are away to another big club, in Derby County, on Saturday afternoon.

The young Reds’ Premier League 2 clash with West Ham will be available to watch in full.

Shoretire played against the Trotters in the Papa Johns Trophy recently, as the young Reds were knocked out of the competition at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The 2020/21 Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year scored in the game with Fleetwood Town, earlier in the competition, and also found the net in the Premier League 2 victory at Fulham on 6 January.

After making his senior United debut against Newcastle United, in 2021, the England Under-19 international has been involved in a couple of first-team squads under Erik ten Hag.

He was on the bench for the Premier League loss at Aston Villa in November and the Carabao Cup triumph against the same opponents soon afterwards.

Everybody at United will be closely monitoring Shola's progress with Bolton and wish him the very best of luck for his time there.
