Monday 27 September 2021 17:00

In the last two years, the UTD Podcast has interviewed some of Manchester United's greatest-ever figures.

The likes of Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson and Wayne Rooney have all featured on the show, but now we've gone and got arguably our biggest guest yet.

That's because the subject of the fourth episode of Series 3 is none other than our legendary former boss, Sir Alex Ferguson!

Over the course of an hour and 15 minutes, Sam Homewood, Helen Evans and David May speak to the most successful manager in the history of British football about a range of topics, covering his trophy-strewn 26-and-a-half year spell in the Old Trafford dugout.

It's the one that fans have been waiting for, and you won't be disappointed as the Scot shares some fascinating insight into his management of the world's biggest club.

Sir Alex outlines his respect and admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, who returned to the club last month after a dozen years away, and speaks further about how Eric Cantona's famous transfer from Leeds was clinched back in the autumn of 1992.

The 79-year-old also gives his thoughts on VAR and provides some insight into what really went on with rumoured United signings down the years, including Paul Gascoigne and Wesley Sneijder.

The full podcast is now available to listen to, exclusively for registered users of our Official App.
