United Women v Reading: Essential info for returning fans

We cannot wait to welcome you back to Leigh Sports Village for the first Manchester United Women home match with fans for over a year.

Here are the key things to know for those attending our WSL opener against Reading on Friday 3 September, KO 19:45 BST.

DIGITAL TICKETS

This has been introduced at Leigh Sports Village as part of the COVID-security plans and safety measures, as seen at Old Trafford. Fans should get ready in advance and download their digital ticket to their smartphone or print at home.

BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE

Due to the introduction of digital tickets, we encourage fans to purchase tickets in advance and download them to their smartphone or print at home before travelling to the stadium. To purchase tickets please visit tickets.manutd.com.

Buying tickets on the day will still be possible but will require a smartphone to process the order and your ticket will then need to be displayed on your phone as there will be no printed tickets available from the Leigh Sports Village ticketing office.

CHECK YOUR TICKET

Seating remains unreserved for the 2021/22 season at Leigh Sports Village, however, tickets will be allocated to a specific area within the stadium so please only enter through the turnstiles indicated on your ticket.  

To ensure COVID compliance, a number of stadium seating changes have also been put in place most notably splitting West Stand into two discrete areas; West Stand North and West Stand South.

- Season Tickets: Any Season Tickets purchased before 23 August have been reallocated to the latest stadium plan and will be reissued to all Season Ticket holders by Tuesday 31 August.

- Match tickets: Any tickets purchased before 23 August will be re-sent to you, therefore please delete or remove any match tickets from your mobile wallet which were received before this date and replace it with the new digital ticket once received. Any Print at Home tickets which have been printed will also need to be disposed of and your new ticket printed when received. Note, all tickets will be issued to the email address registered on your account in time for the relevant game.

COVID SAFETY

We will not be conducting COVID certification checks at this match, but we encourage all fans to take a lateral flow test within 48 hours of the game and anyone who has tested positive, displays symptoms or is required to isolate should not attend the match. Our updated Supporters’ Code of Conduct designed to minimise the risk of the spread of COVID-19 can be found here

Please also be mindful that players and management are required to remain in their bubbles and are not able to stop for autographs and photographs before or after the game.

REMEMBERING THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED

We will be holding a minute’s silence ahead of the game to remember the former players and fans of both clubs who have passed away since we last had spectators at Leigh Sports Village back in March 2020.

CHANGES TO THE STADIUM

Look out for the new digital pitch-perimeter display boards which have been upgraded at Leigh Sports Village over the past year. The kiosks are now also taking card payments, cash will still be accepted.

Matchday programmes will also now be available to purchase from the kiosks and Legends Bar for £1.50.
