Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Ole's injury update on two United defenders

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given us an update on Manchester United defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof ahead of Tuesday night's Premier League encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wan-Bissaka picked up a knock during our last game at Old Trafford - the 6-2 victory over Leeds United - which forced the full-back to miss our subsequent matches against Everton and Leicester City.

As for Lindelof, he deputised for Aaron at right-back at the King Power Stadium, but was withdrawn in the second half of Saturday's 2-2 draw, due to a back injury.
Ole indicated after the match that the Swede might be missing for the encounter with Wolves, and gave a further update in a fresh interview with club media today.

“Victor didn’t train this morning [Monday] so we’ll give him 24 hours. He’s still getting treatment,” said the boss.

“Aaron trained with the boys. We didn’t do a lot because there was snow and it was just about preparation training anyway. If there’s no reaction he should be available.”
The meeting with Wolves is our fourth game in 15 days and, with the likes of Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood not featuring against Leicester, the boss stressed the importance of having a deep squad during this period of the season.

“We’ve got used to it and I think the players are getting more and more robust and physically ready for games, with only two days rest in between,” Ole opined.

“Of course, we’ve got about 30 hours more than Wolverhampton to recover so we have a slight advantage in that respect, and hopefully we can make use of those extra calories of energy we’ve got.”
