Team news for Champions League first leg at Brann
Marc Skinner has told MUTV that three members of his Manchester United Women squad are close to being available for selection again.
The Reds are due to travel to Bergen to face Brann in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
Thursday's 18:00 BST kick-off is being shown live on MUTV, except for viewers in Norway, as United look to continue a bright start to the campaign, which included an opening-weekend WSL win over Leicester City.
How to watch and follow Brann v United Women
ArticleThe Reds are potentially two games away from a place in the group stages.
There appeared to be no problems coming out of the 4-0 victory over the Foxes at Leigh Sports Village, and the options available to the boss could be boosted.
"Yeah, so there are no new, fresh niggles," Skinner told us at Carrington. "We'll find out today but not that I am aware of.
"That also means, I think, we are soon to hopefully welcome back Frido [Rolfo] and Gabby George. Whether it's this midweek or whether it's the London City [Lionesses] game at the weekend and, potentially, Rach [Williams] as well. Hopefully, there is good news on the horizon and we can get those players back into the squad."
Skinner did acknowledge that the club will look to bolster numbers during the next transfer window, in early 2026, but believes he has the experience at his disposal to be able to safely navigate a tough-looking test against the Norwegian league leaders.
"I've said this before, I know that the fans have been a little bit nervous around the depth and I also understand that we need to do work in the winter window, for sure, to supplement the depth in the team," he said.
"But the quality in our group is incredible, especially going into these games, we're relying on the experience we've brought in and the experience we already have in the team. It's going to be vital for us.
"I'm really happy with the quality and experience of the group but we are looking to work to bring players in as we need that depth and quality."
