Ruben Amorim has been asked about his squad plans ahead of Manchester United's home game with Burnley.

The Premier League clash kicks off at 15:00 BST and is our last outing before the first international break of the campaign.

Following the midweek Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby Town, the Reds are looking to respond by securing a first victory of 2025/26, on the back of the defeat to Arsenal and draw at Fulham.

PRESS CONFERENCE | Ruben Amorim previews Saturday's Premier League game against Burnley...

Noussair Mazraoui has been sidelined through injury but the versatile defender has been making progress in his recovery.

During his chat with MUTV's Mark Sullivan after his press conference, Ruben was asked how the squad was looking.

"Really well," he replied. "I had some choices to make [for the weekend's side]. It was hard. I tried to choose the best starting XI, knowing that, sometimes, it's not the starting XI that is going to finish or close the game, so everyone is really important."

There were eight changes to the team named for the Fulham draw for the midweek cup tie at Blundell Park. One of them was in goal, where Andre Onana replaced Altay Bayindir, while Benjamin Sesko made his maiden start in attack.

Casemiro was an unused substitute, while Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw were not part of the matchday squad.

Onana, Tyler Fredricson, Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee received their first minutes of the campaign.

Argentina international Lisandro Martinez remains out as he works to regain fitness, following knee surgery.

BURNLEY'S TEAM NEWS

Axel Tuanzebe could be in line to play at his former home, with no fresh injuries reported by Clarets boss Scott Parker.

"We have been able to improve on where we are," said Parker at his press conference to preview the clash. "Some of the lads got minutes during the week [in the Carabao Cup win over Derby County on Tuesday] - Armando Broja, Axel Tuanzebe and Bashir Humphreys - and that helps them get up to speed."

Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts, Manuel Benson and Zeki Amdouni, who scored a penalty in Burnley's last match at Old Trafford, look to be unavailable for the visitors.
