Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has provided an update on his squad ahead of Wednesday's Premier League game with Ipswich Town.

The 19:30 GMT kick-off at Old Trafford presents an opportunity for the Reds to get back to winning ways and build on the comeback at Everton last time out.

The boss hosted a press conference at Carrington on Tuesday afternoon and revealed he does not expect any of his injured players to return to the matchday squad.

When quizzed on the subject, he replied: "No, I think it’s the same. They are improving but nobody is recovering for this game."

Teenager Chido Obi remains an option after making successive substitute appearances.

IPSWICH'S TEAM NEWS

Axel Tuanzebe returns from suspension to play against his boyhood club, although manager Kieran McKenna, another former Reds man, is sweating on the fitness of midfield pair Kalvin Phillips and Jens Cajuste.

Both picked up knocks in the 4-1 home reverse to Tottenham Hotspur and are being assessed, with captain Sam Morsy standing by to start. There could also be a choice for McKenna between Jaden Philogene and Jack Clarke, with winter-window recruit Julio Encisco still sidelined with a knee problem.

Wes Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene are definitely ruled out but Conor Chaplin should be available.
