Team news for United v Chelsea
Erik ten Hag says Marcus Rashford looks fit to return from his two-game absence and face Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
Rashford missed out on Saturday’s 1-0 win at Bournemouth due to illness, a week after being absent for another Premier League victory – the 2-0 home success over Wolves – because of injury.
Our no.10 was pictured training with the rest of his team-mates on Tuesday and will have the chance to add to his 33 top-flight appearances this season, if he comes through Wednesday’s session successfully.
Marcus, who has scored five times previously against the Blues, is just one goal away from becoming the first Red since Robin van Persie (2012/13) to net 30 times in a single campaign.
Five times Rashford hurt Chelsea
Can Marcus Rashford add to his tally against Chelsea? He’s put five past the Blues already…
“It looks like [he will be available], but yesterday he returns in training and he looks quite fit but we have to see today what the outcome is from the training - how did he recover and then we will make our choices,” Ten Hag told reporters at his pre-match press conference.
With Rashford fit again and Scott McTominay having returned late on at the Vitality Stadium, United have a strong squad to choose from as we seek to confirm our qualification for next season’s Champions League.
The Reds need just a point from our final two fixtures with Chelsea and Fulham to finish in the top four and two wins will guarantee us third after Newcastle United’s goalless draw with Leicester City on Monday night.
Our only absentees are long-term, with Lisandro Martinez, Marcel Sabitzer and Donny van de Beek ruled out for the season.

CHELSEA'S TEAM NEWS
The Blues could be missing up to 10 players for the trip to Old Trafford, with Frank Lampard set to face the media at 13:30 BST on Wednesday to preview Chelsea’s second trip to Manchester in a week, following Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at City.
Centre-back Benoit Badiashile is definitely out as he requires groin surgery, while Marcus Bettinelli, Armando Broja, Reece James and N'Golo Kante look likely to be sidelined too. There are also big doubts over Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount.
Joao Felix withdrew from the substitutes’ bench at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, although Kalidou Koulibaly did return to action following six weeks out with a hamstring problem.
