Team news update ahead of Liverpool test
Ruben Amorim has provided an additional team news update ahead of Sunday's 16:30 GMT kick-off at Liverpool.
During an interview with MUTV, our head coach supplied a positive bulletin on the progress of Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw.
Fellow defender Jonny Evans will miss the Merseyside clash, with Marcus Rashford also likely to be absent, but Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes are available again after serving one-match bans.

AMORIM INTERVIEW | The boss on team news, training progress, family life and new contracts…
When asked if there were any fresh updates, Amorim replied: “No, I think Rashford is ill. Jonny is out. I think the rest – Vic is almost there and Luke also. But they are out. The others, I think, are fit.”
Mason Mount is also currently out due to injury but the news on Lindelof and Shaw is encouraging.
Lindelof was withdrawn during the Carabao Cup exit at Tottenham last month and, although Evans scored in that 4-3 reverse, he missed Monday's game against Newcastle United, with 16-year-old Godwill Kukonki named on the bench.
Following the Anfield examination, against Arne Slot's Premier League leaders, we have a full week to prepare for our next assignment.
The Emirates FA Cup third-round tie at Arsenal takes place on Sunday 12 January, kicking off at 15:00 GMT.
