TeamViewer Trending: Busy Bizet
Celin Bizet has not yet been with Manchester United Women for a full year, but already she has made her impact felt. And then some.
The Norway international arrived in September last year from fellow Women's Super League side Tottenham Hotspur and wasted no time introducing herself.
In her first WSL start for Marc Skinner's side the following month, against her former employers, Bizet registered two assists within minutes of each other, both for Elisabeth Terland.
It proved to be a trailer for what we could come to expect from the winger, in respect to both her own creative flair and the devastating partnership she established with Terland that Sunday afternoon.
Was Bizet our signing of the season?
Celin Bizet's eight assists were a United Women high in her debut term, and she added six goals too for good measure...
STAND-OUT MOMENT
As one of the Reds' key creators through the 2024/25 season, it's tough to pick out just one moment from Bizet's sparkling campaign.
Not only did the 23-year-old provide vital contributions throughout our WSL march towards UEFA Champions League qualification, she was also crucial to our FA Cup journey. She kicked our road to Wembley off with a hat-trick against West Bromwich Albion and provided two assists in our 3-1 quarter-final win against Sunderland. But her opener, away against our crosstown rivals Manchester City in the semi-final of the competition, is the one that will live long in the memory.
The game was in its infancy when Ella Toone received the ball just inside City's half after a turnover. Looking up, the England international spotted Bizet's cunning run on the right before any of the opposition had and launched a defence-splitting pass to the forward.
Surrounded by three blue shirts as she brought the ball under her control, Bizet quickly spun to find herself a shooting angle and, without a moment's hesitation, curled the ball around Khiara Keating between the sticks. The Reds advanced to the final with a 2-0 win and, naturally, Bizet picked up United Women's Goal of the Month award for April.
PERFORMANCE INSIGHT
Bizet has been a revelation since arriving towards the end of last summer, stamping her name on the right-wing role under Skinner as she appeared in every single one of our 22 WSL outings this term.
It has had plenty to do with Bizet's own spark, but the power of her creativity is undeniably harnessed by the bond she has struck up with another of our summer captures, Terland.
Half of Bizet's six WSL assists this season have come from supplying Terland in the centre, all from the winger picking out her compatriot in the centre with pinpoint precision.
That crossing accuracy from the right flank is undoubtedly Bizet's key attribute, a fact that will be well known to opposition defences who remain powerless to stop her. Despite registering an impressive number of goals and assists in her first season, still only 23, it feels like Bizet is only just getting started.

CELIN SAID
“At Manchester United, you have so many players that you’re competing with, and I think everyone is pushing you every day.
“I think it’s been the easiest group to come into in my whole career, and obviously, you’d maybe think that Manchester United would be like a bit harder, but everyone’s been so nice.”

THE BOSS SAID
"The thing about Celin is she's surrounded by football people, so her dad used to play, obviously her fiance plays currently, and you can hit her with the truth. So I said to her, 'I think, right now, you're an international-class player, but I think you can be a world-class player'.
"She's a fantastic player, and I always saw that with her, I always saw that at Tottenham. I just knew that we could unlock a little bit of something different with the way that we play. So I'm going to challenge her."

DID YOU KNOW?
Not only has Bizet stood out as United's top assist-provider (6) this season, she also tussled for top spot with the rest of the league.
In the WSL in the 2024/25 campaign, only City duo Lauren Hemp (8) and Mary Fowler (7) registered more than Bizet. They'll certainly be looking over their shoulders next term.
