Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says Marcus Rashford is “100 per cent” ready to face FC Copenhagen in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League tie.

Rashford missed Saturday’s win over Fulham with a small knock, but trained at Carrington earlier today and was named in our 23-man squad for tomorrow’s important match away to the champions of Denmark.

Upon arrival at Parken Stadium earlier this evening (Tuesday), the venue for tomorrow night’s clash, Ten Hag provided an update on Marcus in response to the opening question of his pre-match press conference.

“[He is] 100 per cent [ready],” Erik said.

“Rashy missed one game [with] a small knock, but he’s back.”

Erik also discussed the fitness of Harry Maguire who, like Rashford, is a member of the travelling party for the matchday-four clash.

Maguire suffered a head injury in the early stages of Saturday's victory at Fulham but was able to complete the match and help the Reds record a 1-0 win.

“So, we did all the protocols during the game, after the game, he’s ready to play,” confirmed the manager.

Also in defence, Victor Lindelof is expected to be available for the contest in Copenhagen, having missed the trip to Craven Cottage.

The Reds return to Champions League action, with our second away trip in the competition this term.

Later in the press conference, the boss was asked when several of our longer-term absentees could return to action.

He provided a definitive answer on the availability of Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, who are both currently in the treatment room.

“I have some time schedules but it’s always difficult to predict that because there can be setbacks during a rehab period,” warned Ten Hag.

“I’m always holding back a little bit on such issues. I expect some players back [soon] but Casemiro and Martinez are really strong injuries – I don’t expect them back before Christmas. It's several weeks [out for Casemiro].”
