What's happening at United this week?

Monday 27 November 2023 15:00

Another enticing week of action awaits Manchester United as we move from November into December with back-to-back away games on the agenda.

A midweek must-win against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League kicks the football off in Istanbul, before we visit St James’ Park on Saturday night to face Newcastle United.

While both our Under-18 and Under-21 Academy sides are also in action, this week marks the start of an international break for our women’s team following their 2-0 win over Bristol City in the WSL

In what is another a busy period for the club, here is your one-stop guide to all the games, key events and anniversaries...

We’ve been sweeping up the remainder of the reaction to Sunday’s 3-0 triumph over Everton at Goodison Park, as well as showing the extended highlights and full match replay.

You can also watch short or extended match highlights from United Women’s 2-0 win at Bristol City from Sunday’s instalment of WSL action.

Monday also marks 13 years since former Reds forward Dimitar Berbatov lit up Old Trafford with a dazzling display that saw him bag five goals in our 7-1 thumping of Blackburn Rovers - you can view that game now in our Premier League Collection.

We’ll begin looking ahead to our midweek Champions League clash, with Erik ten Hag’s pre-match press conference at 12:00 GMT preceded by another live stream, as we show the squad training at Carrington from 9:30. We'll also reveal who's in the travelling squad as the Reds fly out to Istanbul, and show an exclusive sit-down interview with United's own Turkish player, goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

Join us in wishing a happy birthday to Reds midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who turns 24 just two days after scoring her first goal for the club against Bristol. Best wishes, Hinata!

A stacked Wednesday will begin with Ten Hag’s usual matchday Q&A and the first of two matches will soon follow - our Under-19s' UEFA Youth League clash with Galatasaray kicks off at 11:00 GMT and will be screened live on MUTV, ManUtd.com and the United App.

The senior Reds will take on our Turkish hosts in the Champions League's early-evening slot, at 17:45 GMT, in a must-win encounter should we want to progress in the competition. Across ManUtd.com and the United App, we’ll provide exclusive build-up, updates during the game and post-match reaction, plus live radio commentary.

Many happy returns to Reds midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who celebrates her birthday on Tuesday!

As always, our match reaction will continue into the following day as we dissect the Champions League test in Turkey. We will begin looking ahead to Saturday’s away trip to Newcastle, with a preview and early team news on the cards.

Thursday will mark yet another anniversary for the Reds - 24 years since we won the Intercontinental Cup against Palmeiras in Tokyo, back in 1999.

As it's the last day of November, we will also be launching our usual Player of the Month awards for both the men's and women’s team, with the winners voted for by you.

The new month kicks off with extended highlights from our midweek Champions League clash with Galatasaray, while another fan poll will open for the club's Goal of the Month. No prizes for guessing who might win that one...

Friday will also be a busy news day, with Ten Hag talking to the media ahead of the weekend’s Premier League game at Newcastle.

Our third and final game of the day is the big one, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 GMT at St James’ Park. Short match highlights will be available two hours after the final whistle.
