Collyer signs new contract

Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer has signed a new contract with the club, running until 2027 with the option to extend to 2028.

The 20-year-old joined the Reds in 2022 from Brighton & Hove Albion and been a regular in the Under-18s and Under-21s.

Last season, he made the first-team bench for seven Premier League games, including each of the last four fixtures in the division. He was also an unused substitute in the Emirates FA Cup fifth-round win at Nottingham Forest in February.

Toby Collyer signs his deal, flanked by Travis Binnion and Nick Cox.

Collyer has gained plenty of experience in the younger age groups, performing in the engine room in competitions such as the EFL Trophy and Premier League 2 play-offs.

He has also had a senior run-out, in last year's pre-season friendly against Wrexham in San Diego, as part of the summer tour.

The new deal is reward for his efforts since joining the club and everybody would like to congratulate Toby and wish him well for what lies ahead in 2024/25.

WHEN ARE UNITED NEXT IN ACTION?

The Reds will return to the pitch on Monday (15 July), when we face Rosenborg in Trondheim for our first pre-season game. Following a friendly against Rangers at Murrayfield, Edinburgh on 20 July, we'll fly out to the United States for Tour 2024, presented by Snapdragon, comprising three clashes with Arsenal (Los Angeles, 27 July), Real Betis (San Diego, 31 July) and Liverpool (Columbia, 3 August). You can buy tickets for all of our pre-season games here, subject to availability.
