Four Reds return to training before Sevilla trip

Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Marcel Sabitzer and Tyrell Malacia all took part in Manchester United's training session at Carrington on Wednesday morning.

The quartet were spotted out on the pitches as Erik ten Hag prepared his side for our crucial Europa League quarter-final second leg in Seville.

Following last week's first leg, which finished 2-2 at Old Trafford, the tie is now on a knife-edge.

Ahead of the clash, United were hard at work at the training ground, and the presence of Rashford, Shaw, Sabitzer and Malacia was a welcome sight for a squad that has been hit by the injuries of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane recently, among others.

Licha has used social media to share some positive news with supporters.

Rashford has been unavailable since the 2-0 Premier League win over Everton on 8 April, where the England international limped down the tunnel holding his groin.

Shaw was ruled out of that clash with the Toffees after being withdrawn in the first half of the home triumph against Brentford just three days prior.

Sabitzer and Malacia missed our away win at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Sabitzer scored United's two goals in the first leg against Sevilla and had also been selected to start that match at Forest, but had to be replaced in the warm-up by Christian Eriksen. Erik said the Austrian's withdrawal was a precautionary measure, however.

Whether the quartet will be involved in Andalusia is as yet unknown, with Ten Hag expected to confirm his travelling squad for the quarter-final second leg this afternoon.

Erik may also provide a further update when the boss conducts his pre-match press conference from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this evening.

The Dutchman's media briefing, where he will be joined by Eriksen, is set to commence at 18:45 BST, and it will be shown live on ManUtd.com, on MUTV and in the United App.
