Training update from Carrington

Monday 11 December 2023 14:32

Manchester United trained in front of the cameras at our Carrington base ahead of the UEFA Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.

The good news is Victor Lindelof was present, after being flagged as a doubt by manager Erik ten Hag in his press conference earlier.

The Sweden captain missed the defeat to Bournemouth but will hopefully be available for the visit of the Bavarian giants, in what is a must-win fixture for the Reds.

Forwards Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford were both forced to miss the session due to illness.

Martial started at the weekend, while Rashford came on as a substitute, after being unwell on Friday, in advance of the 3-0 reverse.

Lisandro Martinez was spotted coming out with the main group but the Argentina international embarked on more individual work as he looks to continue his rehabilitation.

Amad was involved in the session again, as he strives to regain full fitness, but the winger is not eligible for the group stage of the competition.

The players did their passing rondos underneath dark clouds in Manchester, as we prepare for the final Group A clash, kicking off at 20:00 GMT on Tuesday night.
