Amad in United training.

Our 22-man travelling squad to Turin

Wednesday 17 February 2021 13:30

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named a 22-man travelling squad for Manchester United's UEFA Europa League tie against Real Sociedad.

The match will take place in Turin, Italy, because of Spanish government restrictions on travellers entering the country from England, due to the new COVID-19 variant. The action on Thursday evening kicks off at 17:55 GMT.

Ole's Reds are due to fly from Manchester Airport on Wednesday afternoon and the boss has plenty of options available to him, although he is without three notable names.

Paul Pogba is still unavailable due to injury, while it was confirmed in the pre-match press conference that Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani are also ruled out.

January signing Amad has been named in the travelling squad and it will be interesting to see how the Ivorian might be involved. He has impressed in first-team training and also throughout his two appearances with the club's Under-23s.

Meanwhile, Academy youngster Shola Shoretire will continue his education by travelling with the senior squad for this European away fixture. The 17-year-old forward, who has been with United since the age of nine, signed his first professional contract with the club earlier this month.
