Manchester United have two representatives on the 2019 FIFA FIFPRO World 11 shortlist.

David De Gea and Paul Pogba are among 21 Premier League players on a 55-man list of options for the selection, which is based on the votes of over 23,000 professional footballers, judging performances throughout the 2018/19 season.

The actual XI will be unveiled on Monday 23 September in Milan.

David De Gea is joined on stage by the rest of the FIFPRO World 11 in 2018.

De Gea is one of five goalkeepers vying for the spot between the posts, along with Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Manchester City), Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) and Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona).

Our Spain international stopper was named in the 2018 World 11.

Pogba is competing with 15 other midfielders for one of the three slots in the side. Among his rivals are Barcelona quintet Arthur, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie De Jong, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal, plus Real Madrid quartet Casemiro, Eden Hazard, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

This is the 15th year of the World 11 after it was initially established by FIFPRO in 2005.
