Fixture changes for Academy sides
Manchester United's away match against Morecambe in the EFL Trophy has been rescheduled.
Neil Wood's team, which is an Under-21s side in this competition, were due to be playing on Tuesday 10 November but it has been switched to Wednesday 18 November with kick-off at 18:30 GMT.
We have enjoyed a great start to the tournament, beating two local sides in Group B. First, Salford City were overcome with a convincing 6-0 win at the Peninsula Stadium, thanks to goals from Hannibal, Arnau Puigmal, Charlie McCann, Anthony Elanga and two strikes from Matt Helm.
Then two points were secured from a tie with Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena, following a 0-0 draw.
Ondrej Mastny's penalty heroics were crucial as he saved Aaron Morley's effort in normal time before ensuring we won the shoot-out with two more stops to clinch a 5-4 victory.
The EFL Trophy games provide valuable experience for our young players and this is our second year in the competition.
The Under-23s are in action on Friday night with a home game against Everton at Leigh Sports Village, live on MUTV.
However, the home game with Southampton will now take place on Friday 4 December (19:00 GMT) and not Friday 30 October. The visit of Tottenham is now being staged on Sunday 22 November (17:00 GMT) rather than Friday 20 November.
The Under-18s' clash at Sunderland, originally planned for Halloween, has been fixed for Saturday 6 February at the Academy of Light (13:00 GMT).
