Four Manchester United legends briefly came out of retirement to show off their quality in Saturday night's Soccer Aid match.

While David Beckham was watching on from the stands at the Etihad Stadium, three of his former teammates were in action on the pitch, plus another ex-Red, Patrice Evra.

Gary Neville featured in England's central defence alongside Jamie Carragher while Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney partnered each other in midfield, the former showing off his incredible passing range as always.

Two legendary United full-backs face off at Soccer Aid.

Evra was at left-back for the Rest of the World XI, the younger full-back coming off better in a couple of individual battles against Neville.

Watching from the stands, UNICEF ambassador Beckham gave his thoughts on the three United players in action for England.

"I mean to be honest, when you look at someone like Scholesy, you never lose that kind of pass," he told ITV. at half-time "He's pinging balls here, there and everywhere.

"With Wayne, Wayne's always going to be dangerous on the ball and Gazza (Neville) has looked comfortable at the back with Carra.

Rooney gets back Line of Duty star Martin Compston.

"But I think they're looking pretty good."

The World XI scored three times in the second half to make it back-to-back wins at Soccer Aid. Kem Cetinay scored two with comedian Lee Mack getting a late third.
