The Warm-Up returns to Old Trafford

As the clocks fell back last weekend, Old Trafford welcomed over 300 Reds for the first Warm-Up event of the season, with representation from 30 official supporters’ clubs across 18 countries.

Following on from the success of last year’s Warm-Up socials, fans are invited to an exclusive pre-match evening at our iconic home ground for what is a global reunion like no other.

The Manchester derby Warm-Up also coincided with the 10th anniversary of Thailand Supporters’ Club and the launch of our newest supporters’ club, Zambia!

United legend Gary Pallister takes part in a Q&A session.
It was an evening twinged with both poignancy and nostalgia, following the recent passing of United legend Sir Bobby Charlton. The book of condolence was available to sign, providing supporters with an opportunity to remember his legacy.

Guests were also able to take a photo with the Carabao Cup in all its glory before settling into a Q&A with former United centre-back, Gary Pallister.

To top off an incredible evening, the Manchester United Foundation raffle and open auction raised a fantastic £4,761, thanks to the generous support of our Reds and a bit of friendly competition! The 2023/24 squad-signed home shirt stole the show, raising £1,111.

Rick McGagh, United's director of fan engagement, said: “The Warm-Up events offer a unique experience for our fans from across the world to meet up with each other, see old friends and make new ones, while enjoying an evening at Old Trafford.

"We were delighted to welcome fans from 18 countries and thank them for their incredible support and commitment. The passion our fans from across the globe is one of the many things which makes this football club so special, and we look forward to welcoming more fans to our next event.”

Dayan Mofya, the Zambia Supporters’ Club secretary said: “The welcome was something I've never experienced before, marvellous is an understatement. Well organised, I loved every bit of it.”
