Manchester United have named a 12-man travelling squad for the Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup indoor tournament in Germany, consisting of Under-18s players.

The Reds are one of eight teams taking part in a bid to win a trophy lifted last year by Liverpool.

The group stages will be played on Saturday 4 January, with the finals staged on the following day.

It is a six-a-side competition with the matches consisting of two halves of nine minutes.

Mark Helm was our top scorer with seven goals in last year's Sparkasse & VGH Cup.

United have been drawn in Group B, alongside Stuttgart, Porto and Borussia Monchengladbach, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Rangers, Red Bull Leipzig and Rapid Vienna making up Group A.

The club has also entered a team again in the International Sparkasse & VGH Cup, another indoor tournament which is being held next week. Austria Vienna knocked us out in the quarter-finals last year after we won the five-a-side event in 2018.

UNITED'S TRAVELLING SQUAD

Ondrej Mastny; Lukasz Bejger, Will Fish, Harvey Neville; Mark Helm, Charlie McCann, Hannibal Mejbri, Charlie Savage, Charlie Wellens; Dillon Hoogewerf, Shola Shoretire, Deji Sotona.
